WoodWorks

These sculptures were designed by the architects Pierre D’Avoine and Danial Serafimovski in collaboration with London Metropolitan University and the London Olympic 2012 Committee.

WoodWorks were commissioned to machine and build these pieces and install them on the pavement in Aldgate. The forms refer to the Olypmic rings and the Medal winners’ podium. The structure was challenging and precise to construct and created an intriguing, reflective and protected haven right by one of London's busiest intersections.
